The Leadership Institute is a one day training program for middle level and high school leaders as they begin their school year. Students are divided by age level for their programming. The Institute offers three unique programs including officer and advisor training, National Honor Society workshops, and general leadership skills development training for all age and development levels.
Students and advisors participate in team building and goal setting activities, attend skill development breakouts, get inspired by great national speakers, connect and network with schools from across WI, and learn best practice on how to best serve the needs of their own school community.
Rhett Laubach works with associations, corporations, and student organizations interested in developing leadership potential. Rhett is a professional keynote speaker, trainer, author, leadership expert, owner of YourNextSpeaker, LLC and PLI, Inc. and a brain tumor survivor. His 20+ years of experiences have taken him to 48 states, the Bahamas, Canada, and to over one-million audience members.
Drawing from his multitude of profound and powerful lessons learn, Rhett’s ability to connect with his audience is second to none. Whether students or professionals, his unprecedented stage energy captures the attention of audience members, engaging them in lessons of leadership, motivation, and inspiration.
Rhett’s clients include corporations, state and national youth organizations, chambers of commerce, professional associations, and schools. He is also the co-creator of Each1 Only1, a personal college recruiting training program.

Elancia Felder is responsible for clarifying NHS & NJHS policies for advisers and principals relating to the 24,000+ chapters of the Honor Societies, and is tasked with ensuring compliance with Honor Society policies. She also manages the NHS Scholarship, an annual program which, at present, recognizes 300 outstanding senior members of NHS, and the NJHS Outstanding Achievement Award which recognizes 500 NJHS members with the establishment of a college savings account.
State Delegate Assembly
The State Delegate Assembly (SDA) moves to the Leadership Institute, where student leaders will debate & pass resolutions to benefit Wisconsin’s schools. One student and one adult from WASC member schools are invited to represent their schools at these proceedings.

WASC Member School Rate: $50 per participant + $60 school fee
**Participant fee includes meals and materials; school fee covers the speakers’ fees.
