Hello members and friends of the WASC!
My name is Joe Daniels and I am proud to be your Region II JAM President. I am going to talk about myself then for about 5 sentences and then I will move on to how and why I got into the WASC. There are a lot of things that I am involved in; Drama Club, Student Council, and Boy Scouts. I’m the youth leader for most of these extracurriculars. Some of my hobbies include gaming, biking, taking pictures and of course being a part of the WASC.
There are a lot of things I like to do, one of those things is to lead. I started my journey with the WASC when I was going to camp. I was elected president of my student council the same year we changed advisors. My new advisor acknowledged and pushed me to go this “camp”. At the time, I had no idea what this camp was about. I went straight into level two since I was one year behind. I was astonished, the camp was a safe haven for me. I really want to push everyone to go to leadership camp. I swear that all the kids that are at camp are like flies, and camp is a fly trap. You just can’t leave. After my camp experience was over I started my new school year with new found knowledge of what I needed to accomplish. With the combined leadership of my council, we accomplished above and beyond my expectations. Last year our council completed a dance, a basketball tournament, and so many other great things. This year our council hopes to create two dances, a volleyball tournament, and other fundraisers for different charitable foundations. Of course under new leadership.
To conclude my rant about the WASC, I want to thank everyone that has helped me along my leadership path. Everyone that has pushed me to do my absolute best and appreciated all the hard times I went through. Thank you.
Lastly, I want to thank you for taking three minutes of your time to read this article. I am looking forward to all the things that we are going to do together WASC!
