Meet Dustin Lee Lecy, Region VI SHS Vice-President!

Lexi RichardsonNews Notes

Hello WASC Leaders! I am extremely excited to be working with all of you this year! My name is Dustin Lecy and I go to Adams-Friendship High School. I am 15 years old, and I am a Sophomore.  I am the Region 6 Vice-President of the WASC. I am also the Secretary of the Adams-Friendship Student Council and the Class of 2019 Vice-President.  I like to be very active and always out and about! I enjoy music very much.  I play Euphonium for the Wind Ensemble at my school, Baritone Saxophone for Pep Band, and I play piano on my free time. I also enjoy hanging out with my friends. I usually rely on them for most of my support.  I have been part of the WASC since 7th Grade. My band teacher/student council advisor –Derek Curless— told me to go to a local meeting in 6th Grade and it totally changed my life! I learned that there are many opportunities for kids to be involved and to be a leader. The power of doing something right and being a leader is like nothing else.

First off, I would like to Thank YOU for giving me the opportunity to be a leader in Region 6.  I have many goals this year that I would like to accomplish. One of my biggest goals for Region 6 is to bring more opportunities to students.  I want to give all of the students the opportunity I had. I had lots of opportunity to lead projects and things like that. I also would like to bring more involvement from other schools. Region 6 is one of the biggest physical land areas and we have the least of the involvement. That is something I am working on changing.

Now it is time to take action.  I will be the five birds that fly off the branch. I will not be the birds that will sit and take forever to make a decision. I have started to dedicate myself to the WASC organization.  Again, I can’t show enough thanks to Region 6 for this wonderful opportunity!

Yours Truly,

Dustin Lee Lecy
