Meet Your SHS State President!

Hello, my name is Elly Fox and I am SHS State President for 2017-18! I am exhilarated to be working with WASC for my first year on the governing board. Although I am new, I have been going to camp since Level 1 and just finished Level 6 this past summer. Also, I was lucky enough to have been a JC for Level 1! Outside of WASC I go to Pewaukee High School and love to coach my school’s swim team. This was a form of leadership I took after two years of swimming with them, and this will be my second year of coaching. Other than the swim team, I am Student Body President of my school’s Student Council. Our council runs Homecoming and works on community impact projects. We split up our committees by grade level and each committee brainstorms an impact project. This past year my grade level was able to do a Cosmetics and Beauty Drive for our local Women’s Shelter! We were able to incorporate two of our schools (Elementary and High School), and then give back to the community as well. These impact projects are some of my favorite leadership experiences because you can bring your school and community together to make a difference. Almost all of these experiences have been shaped by my WASC background and leadership knowledge, and without the WASC I would not have the confidence I have today. WASC has brightened my life and given me multiple opportunities for greatness; I am very excited to continue my leadership journey with the WASC organization and all the wonderful people I meet along the way!
