POSITION TITLE:
Leadership Internship
Hiring up to 4 interns for our team this summer
DURATION & LOCATION:
April 1, 2024 to August 31, 2024
Fully-Remote with In-Person Opportunities
Part-Time, Flexible Work Schedule
Must be available for at least one Summer Camp week
SHS Leadership Camp: June 14 - 20, 2024
(Levels 4, 5, 6)
JAM Leadership Camp: July 12 - 18, 2024
(Levels 1, 2, 3)

ABOUT THE WASC:
The Wisconsin Association of School Councils is a K-12 student leadership organization. For over 88 years, we’ve helped teach, train, and inspire K-12 students across Wisconsin. As the oldest student leadership organization in WIsconsin, and one of the oldest in the United States, we take pride in the work that we do, and we take seriously our desire to expand opportunities for students to learn and grow.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
This internship team will be responsible for championing the brand and soul of the WASC through the creation of various marketing materials, internal and external communications, and the development of go-to-market strategies. Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Social Media Management
Manage and enhance our social media presence to effectively communicate our mission and engage with our audience.
Collecting qualitative and quantitative data from marketing campaigns and social media platforms for better informed posts.
Monitor and respond to social media inquiries in a timely manner, including but not limited to direct messages and comments.
Content Creation & Graphic Design
Develop engaging and compelling content for digital platforms, including social media, website, and newsletters.
Campaign Development
Assist in planning and executing marketing campaigns to promote our leadership programs, events, and initiatives.
Community Engagement
Collaborate with team members to develop strategies for community outreach and engagement.
Engage with member and non-member schools to grow the organization’s reach and ensure an extraordinary experience with the WASC.
Event Support
Provide marketing support for organizational events, including promotion, coordination, and post-event analysis.
Program Creation
Develop leadership programming relevant to the needs of K-12 students
Strategic Planning.
Develop plans and analyze data that align with the goals and objectives of the WASC.

Plus-es but Not Required:
Graphic Design Experience (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.)
Social Media Management Experience
College Student Studying Marketing/Comms/Journalism or Related Majors
Videography and Photography Experience
WASC Experience

COMPENSATION:
$12 - $15 / hour
5 - 10 hours / week
