Better Together: New Student Officer Training is a one day training program for middle level and high school leaders as they begin their school year. Students are divided by age level for their programming. The training offers three unique programs including officer and advisor training, National Honor Society workshops, and general leadership skills development training for all age and development levels.
Students and advisors participate in team building and goal setting activities, attend skill development breakouts, get inspired by great national speakers, connect and network with schools from across the US, and learn best practices on how to best serve the needs of their own school community.
Better Together: New Student Officer Training is a combined effort of directors and students from six different states: California, Massachusetts, Michigan, Missouri, Oregon, Texas and Wisconsin! The officers you send to this training will be trained by the absolute best in the country! Register your officers today!
Registration will be open until September 25th at 3:00 p.m. Due to complications from the COVID-19 pandemic, we know that each districts "Return to Learning" action plan will take on different protocols, while staying fluid as new information becomes available. To that point, our conference content delivery aims to serve schools operating a in-person, a hybrid model or operating in a full virtual environment.
Conference Registration Process:
Schools are allowed to register teams comprised of up to (10) people, inclusive of educators and students. However, schools may register more than one team if they plan on registering more than (10) total educators and students.
Each state association will invoice schools for the total number of teams registered under their normal operating procedures. Registration must be completed by a staff member advising the group. If you have specific questions or need more information, please contact Dr. Michelle McGrath, Executive Director Wisconsin Association of School Councils at firstname.lastname@example.org.
In order to complete your teams registration process, we will be assigning each participant their own unique conference registration user name and password to access the conference. This will allow schools to meet in small groups in a computer lab or allow schools to access the conference remotely from home (whichever option best aligns with your protocols and Return to Learning plan).
To start your registration process, please fill out the following form in its entirety. The form asks for the names and email address of your schools participants; which will allow each email to be assigned a username to access the conference portal. When completed, save it to your computer. There is a question on the registration form that asks you to upload it.
