Educating, Engaging, and Empowering Young Leaders in Wisconsin
At the Madison Elementary Leadership Institute, student leaders in grades 4, 5, and 6 have the opportunity to meet regional and state officers, interact with student leaders from all across the state, and receive hands-on at the Madison Children's Museum! The event focuses on student council structure, leadership traits, goal setting, communication, staff appreciation, project planning and diversity. We also offer a special session for advisors.
9:00 am – Registration (just outside the Assembly Chambers of the State Capitol)
9:30 am– Opening Ceremony & Keynote Speaker
9:50 am– Sectional Explanation and Transition to the Madison Children’s Museum
10:10 am– SECTIONAL BREAKOUTS
11:50 am– Explore and Experience the Museum
12:00 pm – Lunch at the Museum or on the Capitol Lawn **Students will provide their own bagged lunch**
1:05 pm– Closing ceremony back at State Capitol
1:30 pm– Safe travels
