Your voice. Your story. Your moment.
At the WASC, we believe student voice should be heard, valued, and amplified. Wisconsin Student Voice is a keynote presentation competition that challenges students to share ideas that resonate with today’s leaders. Through a fast-paced, powerful presentation style, winners all receive the opportunity to present on the main stage at the WASC State Conference. |
![]() A VIP Experience for All. A strong school culture makes everyone feel like a Very Important Person (VIP). Describe one part of your school that already excels at making people feel valued. Then describe the leadership actions you’re taking to address an area that still needs attention to create a fully inclusive VIP experience.
In order to keep presentation styles uniform, students will create “PechaKucha” style slideshow presentations. This style allows students to create image slides, each slide viewable for 20 seconds before automatically advancing to the next slide. (Google Slides Directions and PowerPoint Directions). This presentation style allows students to fully engage their audience while simultaneously executing the critical components of public speaking. Students will bridge content knowledge on their selected topic with powerful images designed to support their presentation. Presentation Requirements Presentations will be created in Google Slides or PowerPoint, utilizing the transitioning slides to stay on point and move your presentation forward automatically.
Presentation topics are left open-ended for students to generate passionate, informational presentations to inspire conference attendees. The general overarching message should be grounded in the theme. This year’s Student Voice Theme is “A VIP Experience for All: A strong school culture makes everyone feel like a Very Important Person (VIP). Describe one part of your school that already excels at making people feel valued. Then describe the leadership actions you’re taking to address an area that still needs attention to create a fully inclusive VIP experience.”
