Seasons Greetings!
My name is Collin Woldt, and I am the WASC SHS State President. Since it is the holiday season, I would like to write a little bit about what makes this time of year special. In addition to spending time with loved ones and listening to your favorite holiday tunes on the radio, the holiday season is one of giving, and helping those who are less fortunate. I am always inspired to see so many people sacrificing their time, money, and talents over the holidays to improve the communities they live in. As State President, I have the privilege to see how many different student councils around the state have embraced the giving spirit. At my own school, Muskego High School, our Student Council holds an annual food drive in which all the canned food is donated to the local food pantry. We also “adopt” families during the holiday season, and commit to buying the children presents that the family would otherwise not be able to afford. It is small actions like these that make a world of difference to children, to families, and to our communities. It is my hope that every member of the WASC will encourage their student councils to fully embrace the holiday season. While the weather outside may be cold, there is no other feeling quite as warm as helping others make their days merry and bright. From our entire WASC family to yours, we hope you have a truly joyful holiday season.
Best,
Collin Woldt
WASC SHS State President
